Meeting with representatives of Slovenian company JUB and Greek company FIBRAN, which has a branch office also in Slovenia
On 31 January 2017 Ambassador Pipan met with Mr Konstantinos Bakalas representative of a Slovenian company JUB in Greece and Mr Yiannis Mitropoulos a representative of Greek company Fibran, which has its branch office also in Slovenia. The purpose of the meeting was the interest of both representatives to strengthen cooperation with the Slovenian Embassy in Athens, and to identify opportunities for further promotion of Slovenian companies in Greece.
JUB Group is successful international corporation with 140-year tradition in the production of paints which comprises twelve subsidiaries and operates in more than twenty markets. The origins of the mineral paints production date back to the year of 1875 when Viktor Gale, the owner of wheat mills, started grinding different coloured minerals of the so called earth colours. Today, JUB distinguishes itself with the state-of-the-art, automated, and robotics-driven production, high productivity, ecological consciousness and environment friendly production orientation with all applicable certificates, sustainable energy arrangement, up-to-date product development and information technology and the highest credit rating. JUBILAND is a representative of JUB in Greece, active also in the field of thermal and hydro insulations. With the products of JUB, JUBILAND, among others, renovated the Acropolis Museum, the commercial center Golden Gall, factory Philip Morris and the Hilton Hotel in Cyprus.
FIBRAN was founded in 1974 by its present C.E.O., Mr. Demitrios Anastasiadis. Since 1995, it plays a leading role as a producer of insulation materials both in Greece and in Europe. Today, FIBRAN has 7 production units, utilizing the latest technology for the manufacture of insulation products (Extruded Polystyrene, Stonewool and Expanded Polystyrene), as well as Gypsum Boards. It aims at providing comprehensive solutions and products for the protection of building and industrial structures. From 2004 they have their polystyrene production units also in Slovenia. FIBRAN is, today, the third producer of extruded polystyrene in Europe.
