Slovenia receives a 4th group of people from Greece under relocation process
Yesterday, November 9, a new group of 41 people from relocation scheme arrived from Greece to Slovenia. The group comprises of Syrian nationality, mostly families. After their arrival at Ljubljana airport, they were taken to the Ljubljana asylum centre.
Procedures for processing of their asylum requests are expected to be started on Thursday. Until they are completed, the families will reside at the Logatec branch of the asylum centre, and one single man will be accommodated at the Ljubljana centre.
Slovenia has so far received 124 refugees under the EU relocation scheme, out of 567 that the country committed to take in this year and next.
Of the 124, 23 Eritreans have been relocated from Italy and 124 people from Greece (84 Syrians and 17 Iraqis).
