9th Bled Strategic Forum is rapidly approaching
On 1 and 2 September 2014 Bled will be hosting the 9th BSF titled "The Power of Trust". The conference will bring together numerous high-level politicians, business and media representatives, academicians, and young professionals. The global lack of trust, which is an inextricable part od well-functioning societies, is cause for concern. The situation has been further exacerbated with the crisis, increasing the lack of trust at the national, regional and global levels. The 2014 BSF will thus look into the power of trust and what happens when trust is lacking. Discussions will look into topical issues, i.e. the philosophy of leadership, demographic change, the spirit of Central Europe, cyber-security and the future of the Western Balkans. Participants will be welcomed by Speaker of the National Assembly Milan Brglez, MFA Karl Erjavec and Mayer of Bled Janez Fajfar.
This years Young BSF takes place between 27 August and 1 September. Under the title "The Potential of Trust", it will bring together aspiring young leaders, diplomats, intellectuals, representatives of NGOs and business professionals. it will oper with the Young BSF Business Case Competition, featuring 7 teams of post-graduate students competing to find strategic solutions for selected cases. At the weekend event, the Young BSF Camp, students will be joined by 25 young professionals, and together they will tackle the question of the potential of trust. Ideas, solutions and visions will be presented at a special panel titled "The Potential of Trust", held as part of the central conference, on 1 September.
